Navigation skill days

The ability to relate what you can see in front of you to what is shown on a map is a vital ingredient to a successful expedition. To refresh and improve navigation skills, we are running small-group, practical training sessions in a series of 90-minute slots.  

The leader will be in contact though email to parents to make arrangements.

We notified you about these sessions last year when your son/daughter signed-up for DofE. Your Explorer will be invited to a session. Weather-permitting, sessions will be 60-75 minutes and will cover essentials of map and compass work.

Your Explorer needs to be wearing the kind of gear you'd wear to walk the dog on a cold, wet and windy day.
