Beavers Sleepover – Saturday 3rd June to Sunday 4th June 2023
What we’re doing - We will hold our fun filled Beavers Sleepover on Saturday 3rd June. The visit will include outdoor games, movie screening, snack, breakfast and badges to everyone in attendance.
Cost - £20
Location - Glasgow 121st (Clarkston) Scout Hall, 21 Aidans Brae, Clarkston, G76 7EP
Drop off - 6:30pm Saturday 3rd June
Pick up - 8.00am Sunday 4th June (please arrive sharp as we need to clear the hall for other users)
Leaders - The Leader in Charge will be Scott McGowan who holds a Nights Away Permit. Beavers Leaders Jacqueline Clark shall attend too. The leaders will be supported by 2nr Parent Helpers who will have completed a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) background check in advance.
Sleeping arrangements - Beavers will sleep in the hall in same sex tents with 3-4 beavers per tent. Each tent will have its own night light and large inflatable mattress. Leaders will sleep in separate same sex rooms nearby in the Scout Hall. Please let a leader know if your children have any overnight issues (anxiety, pull-up pants etc.) and we can keep an eye on them.
What to bring…
- Wear beavers uniform and shoes / jacket / sweater suitable for the weather
- Sleeping bag (optional extra blanket)
- Pillow
- Pyjamas
- Teddy
- Toothbrush
- Change of underwear
- Plastic bowl and cup
- Spoon
- Small towel and cloth
- Prescribed medication / inhalers etc. if required in a bag with their name on it. Please discuss requirements in advance with Scott.
Food - Please feed your beavers dinner before they arrive. Snacks and drinks will be provided with the movie screening on Saturday evening and breakfast of fruit and cereal will be provided on Sunday morning. Please discuss any specific dietary requirements in advance with Scott and we can sort out something suitable for every child.
Parent availability - A parent must be available by telephone at all times throughout the visit to come and collect their child if required.
