Beavers - Auchengillan Trip

Parent Helpers - A Shankland

We will be visiting the Cubs at their Scout Camp at Auchengillan Outdoor Centre on Saturday May 6th. Cost of the Camp Visit will be £20 to cover entrance fee, activities, snacks, cabin hire and some new outdoor games equipment and first aid kits.

We will meet at the Main Car Park Entrance at 10.15 am and the Beavers are to be collected from the same place at 5.00 pm.

What we’ll be doing…

The visit includes grass sledging, sculpture trail, nightline, mini orienteering, pond dipping, and outdoor games.

Before they come...
In advance of the trip please let...

1. Scott know by email details of any infectious diseases they have been in contact with in the last three weeks and details of any medications currently being taken (mcgowansa1980@gmail.com).

2. Check / update your child's Online Scout Manger profile to include any disabilities, medical conditions, allergies, additional needs or cultural needs that organisers might need to be aware of, and ensure that doctors and emergency contact details are up to date.

What to bring…

• Beaver uniform and suitable clothing and footwear for outdoor conditions. If it has been raining or rain is forecast please send them with wellies and waterproofs.
• Their own packed lunch and water bottle (pleased put name on both!)
• £20 cash payment
• A max. £2 for the Tuck Shop in a purse / tote / envelope with their name on it.
• Prescribed medication / inhalers etc. if required in a bag with their name on it. Please discuss with leader requirements in advance.
• If very sunny please apply sun tan lotion to children before arrival. We will have additional lotion with us to top up throughout the day so please let a leader know if your child has any special requirements / allergies and provide their own sun tan lotion with their name on it if required.
