1. Access to Aidans Brae. For the next few days, contractors will be resurfacing that part of Mearns Road between Clarkston Toll and Scotmid. Access to Aidans Brae during working hours will be by Greenwood Road or Hillview Drive to Mearns Road then north to Scotmid. The diversion will then take you the wrong way down Mearns Road to Aidans Brae. There is a lot of heavy plant and workers about, and the road has ramps but is negotiable with patience and care. The contractor has told me that Mearns Road will be open during the evening so this may only affect daytime users.
